Knitting hand-me-downs

A little while ago I told you that I had gone to my mam’s to claim my knitting heirlooms. I had been complaining to her that I had a pile of jumpers to wash and the thought of pinning them all out again filled me with dread when she reminded me that my Nannie’s – her mam – jumper board was gathering dust, waiting to dress a jumper once more.

In the Loop 3.5

Last week I had a really enjoyable couple of days at the In the Loop 3.5 Conference here in Shetland. I didn’t manage the whole thing, and I am not going to abstract the whole thing (I believe there will be a special edition on Textiles next year, which will do that for you), but I really wanted to share with you one or two of the stand out speakers.
