There is just so much happiness happening in the knitty booky world. I feel the need to spread the cheer a bit.
It is the combination of the last of the EYF hangover and the changing of the clocks and the visible lengthening of the day, but I’ve had some time to think about a lot of things – some slight changes to the podcast (more on that in a future episode) and other thoughts about my own knitting, wool events and the knitting world in general.
So far this Kitsmas we’ve had hats, shawls, cowls, ganseys, felt and angora/wensleydale yarn kits. All that and we are still left with cold feet though! Today I have one or two ideas for warm feet kits this Christmas (and I am getting more comfortable at using the C word the more we progress through these posts!)
Yes! You read it correctly – I am finally knitting socks! This episode contains my socks-ploration, a yarn review of WYS Illustrious and a preview of In The Footsteps of Sheep, by Debbie Zawinski.
Today I have Joy McMillan, AKA The Knitting Goddess, coming around for a cuppa and five questions. Pour yourself a cup too and join us as Joy talks about the importance of using British wool, her (un)typical day, as well as clubs and socks. Speaking of socks there is a really lovely sock-related give-away at the end of this post, courtesy of Jot
Need an injection of colour and fun with practical, invaluable instruction on sock construction? Look no further!
